The must-watch, engaging features format, with a rigorous journalistic edge will be produced by Remarkable Television, an Endemol company.
At the helm of The Food Show (w/t), will be presenting duo Anna Richardson and Jay Rayner. Observer writer Jay is one of the most respected food journalists in Britain, and has presented investigations for the Channel’s flagship news and current affairs strand, Dispatches (The Truth about Food Prices). Anna Richardson is a key face of Channel 4 features (My Big Fat Diet Show/ The Sex Education Show) and will represent the quizzical, savvy consumer point of view, and bring her trade mark accessible spark to the show.
The Food Show (w/t) will investigate the journey of food consumed in the UK every day. The series will examine where food comes from, what happens to it and how long it takes to get to the nation’s dinner plates.
The knowledge-rich programme, filmed on a tight weekly turnaround, will feature topical food debates and issues, react to news, and will break stories. Viewers will be able to interact with the programme online, creating content which can feed back into the series.
The 6 x 60 minute series will be executive produced by Remarkable Television’s Annette Clarke, alongside the company’s Managing Director Colette Foster. The Series Editor is Kitty Walshe.
