Each week, Charlie will leave the comfort of his sofa to invite three funny and discerning guests to join him in shouting and shaking his fist at the world of television in all its diverse glory. They’ll give their take on an array of TV clips presented for their delectation and dissection. In the spirit of competition, they’ll be answering questions about them too.
You Have Been Watching will absorb the highs and lows of television – from here in the UK and from around the world. It will point and laugh at the shows that command the biggest following but perhaps shouldn’t, whilst also championing all that is truly great about television and unearthing some hidden gems that do deserve a wider audience.
In addition to looking at topical TV from each week, in special episodes Charlie and his guests will also scrutinize the worlds of Kids TV, The Best of TV B*stards and Crime Television.
Charlie comments “[This series,] We have worked out a system whereby we can magically fire genuine banknotes directly out of the screen and into the viewer’s lap. Bank notes and hamburgers.“
Last series’ guests included David Mitchell, Martin Freeman, Frankie Boyle, Liza Tarbuck, Ben Miller and Frank Skinner and this season promises a line up just as diverse and entertaining.
